I've funneled my love for cosmic horror and the Lovecraftian mythos into an unrestricted evil faction, The Black Lantern. Here's my spiel:

"Darkness is not the absence of light, but its opposite."

This faction is loosely themed around a Lovecraftian cult that seeks to hasten the awakening and return of the Ancient Ones; terrible, inconcievable abominations that gorged themselves on the fabric of reality for eons before the current stain of existence.

Its members are integrated with the remnants of a dying society they wish to euthanize, moving about in broad daylight and vanishing into the various shadowy depths of alleys, back streets, crags and forests to move the horrific plot forward unbeknownst to the beings locked in a war of mortality around them.

We are not good, nor are we evil. We are beyond these paltry definitions; these cages that reach to capture thought and bind it. We are a beacon of soothing Darkness in the bright, painful Light. We represent a return to the oldest of ways: nothing.

We've begun to make friends (and enemies!) with other factions, and I'm toying with the idea of regular, themed operations and events. All are welcome! RP is not required, but encouraged.
