Any counts of the six T2 classes (and maybe the overall # of characters), perchance?
Just add the numbers EK used for the graph. 860 characters. Figure an average of 3 per player (I'm sure some people have already donated for extra characters, but let's assume it's the same proportion of people who play fewer than 3), and you get 287 players.
Not bad for alpha-game-developed-as-hobby. Shintolin at its peak (after the mob of NW players moved in) didn't even get that high.
I'd say that's a pretty good reflection of what a good game Jorm designed in the first place, and how well Bob has done in putting his own spin on it... and how well the current playerbase is at being patient and not bitching (come to think of it, I can't seem to recall anyone being as pissy/bitching here as people got on the NW forums). _________________ Vile Brimstone: The Original Stone/Invisible VW

Too many assumptions in this number. We know that, at the time I'm making this post, there are 409 users registered by looking at the user id of the newest member.. I find it difficult to believe that a whole 1/4 of the userbase were bots that we had to ban.
I'm impressed with that figure too; with my own site, I've got a ratio of about 100:1 of bots:humans! _________________ http://www.Scoundrell.com, tasty satire news! Latest:

Meh, I never said it was an accurate number of players--just that the character count was accurate, according to EK's table. If that is off, then there's something weird in the database, because his table would seem to be all-inclusive (# of characters of each level of each morality).
Besides, there's another explanation other than 1/4 of the userbase being bots: those players who started characters and then stopped playing. I dunno if EK's table includes idles (or if BobWar characters even idle), but it's also safe to assume that people who stopped playing would have a lower average number of characters than do active players.
Either way, 409 users for 860 characters is neither an unreasonable ratio nor a bad one. _________________ Vile Brimstone: The Original Stone/Invisible VW

No, just means that about half the game is the same people. With the account system here it's not unreasonable but with the game size it most definitely is. It's one of those things that makes planes have to expand beyond what the game can account for depending on the homogeneity of factions. The goal should be, ideally, that more people play less characters in a restricted space.
As for the level gap, that's a lot of repair item and first aid. As much as the combat trees, that may be what's causing it. Right now it would probably be much faster to get sense morality and a combat tree than first aid or repair item for positive mo leveling. That that looks to be an issue seems to contradict the theory that it's the experienced players leaning towards evil since both of those were far faster forms of comparative leveling back in the nexal days.
