Let's make hiding more fun!
You slip under a bed. You think you are hidden.
You open the fridge and close the door with you inside. You think you are hidden.
Jumping up and grabbing onto the ceiling fan, you plant your feet up against the ceiling and hold on tight. You think you are hidden.
You place a lampshade on your head. You think you are hidden.
You climb up into the boughs of a tree. You think you are hidden.
You lay down in the tub with the curtain closed. You think you are hidden.

In practice this would require us to either come up with a roster of specific hide texts for each and every tile type in the game, or else have one of the core abilities in the game give flavor text that is confusing and contradictory.
That's a lot of work for a limited pool of designer attention that could go to making more skills, worlds to explore, etc. It's not practical to do this, but don't be surprised if it turns up as an easter egg at some point.
