Nexus Clash :: View topic - If you lose your Angelic powers...

... do you also not respawn in Elysium?
a tiny grasshopper has gotten into the deathfarming game and has intentionally reduced its morality to 19 so it lost Divine Armor etc. It then joined Adamant Kinship so it would respawn in Valhalla, where it's much more likely to get stepped on. But if losing the angel powers also means it wouldn't respawn in Elysium, it'll drop the guild as well so it has no soak.

No, your respawning in Elysium is part of your class. You'll just take planar damage by travelling around in Elysium if you're in the ranks of the fallen (with a small F. Not the class which has a capital F). _________________

On a related note, do Fallen (with the capital F) spawn in Gehenna and become immune to Planar Damage there? Do the Redeemed become angels for the purpose of spawning / planar damage? _________________ |The Devil On Your Shoulder 4407 | Mira Lasan 1724 | Officer Horwood 1763 | A Ghast 5143 | A Velociraptor 3721 | Father Christmas 3115 |

Yes to both. _________________

Thanks. So...
Respawning is linked entirely to class. Angels/Redeemed to Elysium, Demons/Fallen to Gehenna.
Planar Damage is linked to both class and morality. Demons/Fallen with -20 morality or less are fine in Gehenna. Angels/Redeemed with 20 morality or more are fine in Elysium. Everyone else gets singed.
What about Wandering Monsters - do feral hellhouds / imps murder factionless demons/Fallen if their morality is too high? _________________ |The Devil On Your Shoulder 4407 | Mira Lasan 1724 | Officer Horwood 1763 | A Ghast 5143 | A Velociraptor 3721 | Father Christmas 3115 |

It's easier if I explain this in mechanical terms.
A demon is defined as a character who picked a "Demon" class and who's MO is -20 or lower.
An angel is defined as a character who picked an "Angel" class and who's MO is 20 or higher.
When you rise/fall outside of these limits, the game locks out your angel/demon class. You're now simply a mortal in the eyes of the game.
That means things which normally won't affect you because you're demon/angel (Planar damage and wandering pets) now WILL affect you.
Why explain all this? Because it applies to all cases. Now I can cite this post if asked about anything else which is affected by your class and MO
The short version (TL;DR!): Yes, the wandering pets will now murder your face if you rise/fall as a demon/angel, respectively. _________________

The first two lines imply that a redeemed character (somebody who has an "Angel" and "Demon" class) can be either an angel or a demon depending on their morality, switching from one to another by changing their morality. The third line... doesn't. Could you explain which interpretation is correct? _________________ |The Devil On Your Shoulder 4407 | Mira Lasan 1724 | Officer Horwood 1763 | A Ghast 5143 | A Velociraptor 3721 | Father Christmas 3115 |

They're not as mutually exclusive as you think. A Fallen has an angel class (Tier 2) and a demon class (Tier 3). Vice versa for Redeemed.
By changing your MO between your two limits as a "Turncoat" class, you can lose and regain the powers corresponding to the morality you've chosen. So a Redeemed can turn evil again, regain their tier 2 skills and respawn in Gehenna again. They just can't use Redeemed powers or be healed until they return to their angelic morality.
That is how it's supposed to work at least. There's not enough Fallen and Redeemed to have completely tested it all yet although _________________
