My understanding of this skill has been that it is a separate cloak from Shadow of the Wolf, and while it has many benefits over it's parent skill, it always lacked the movement speed buff Shadow had.
But nowadays the wiki implies that this is a direct improvement on the Shadow, and not a separate activated skill at all.

Testing on the 3.5 staging server confirms that Animus entirely replaces Shadow of the Wolf. You can no longer activate the basic Wolf form once you buy the upgrade, and the button that you pushed to transform into the basic Wolf form transforms you into the upgrade instead.
Does this mean that it also lacks the movement bonus? Ie, you lose the benefit of cheaper movement, -forever-, once you upgrade shadow of the wolf to the animus? _________________ "I am your Slave
