So really hope there is a misunderstanding there because well yeah that's just truly terrifying.

It's one of the advantage I feel with immersing oneself in games is that you also become more aware and more resistant* to the kind of psychological manipulation that comes with it.

*Well more likely to consciously opt into or out of

With people soon figuring out that a surge of "Government rox" posts =/= "Government rox" but "Lol grinding nubs get on my level".

Surely encouraging grinding is the point? Making people habit form behaviours that make them good citizens like spying on their neighbours...

Will the police get guns to stun/gib people with certain score thresholds?

I guess you could simplify that to:

If your score is Y_SCORE and your target's score is T_SCORE, the penalty for murder is that your score becomes Y_SCORE - T_SCORE (can go into negatives). This means killing a person with a negative score actually increases your own score.
