Toying with the idea of building a character as an Asha'man from the Wheel of Time series. For those unfamiliar, they're melee/magic hybrid fighters with insane offensive capability. They also create portals.
The portal bit makes me wish I could make a conduit work, but it would take some real stretching of the class to make it into a competent offensive force.
NC might also work, with its teleport and built-in hybrid capabilities.
Thought I'd ask and see if anyone had some ideas before I start drafting builds. I'm not limited to either of the classes I mentioned, those are just the first that came to mind.
The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again...
Its simple, what you need is to become a Nexus Champion at T2, then at T3 go into Conduit.
I really like the idea of Wheel of Time characters, will do some thinking after work.
Spell slinger Corrupter? They hybrid well and are extremely offensive.
For the portal fluff rename some of your spells as portal based attacks or actions as a thought. _________________ “I'm a man of simple tastes. I'm always satisfied with the best.” ~Oscar Wilde

Well, the portals aren't really for attacking so much as they are logistical in transport of both one's self and one's allies and troops, which is why I'd really like to make a conduit work on some level. If I were to do so, I think I would try going for thrown weapons with nexal return, maxed wisp/portal tree, probably some enchanting to make my own enchanted hatchets, and then grinding up the arcane trail tree a ways. However, as mentioned this is still pretty limp-wristed in the combat department.
I would like to point out that reveal weakness increases the target's damage floor to 4, which works with pets, allowing them to *shred* the target, even if they've drunk a few invulns. If you're take the arcane trail tree, I'd recommend the full tree, as last breath I didn't find just the 30 cp skill too useful outside of more combat spam. This *will* be a lot of CP though, especially if you want enchanting too.
How should i build Mat? I'm thinking maxing out the mortal melee tree -parry.
I'm not sure how to proceed after than, if there any build that works with being sneaky (as much as that applies in this game) and with a metric shit ton of magic resistance?
Also i'm thinking Mat should be a neutral character, but maybe angelic fits better.
