Not sure where this truly belongs as the issue is mostly linked to bugs, I believe.

As it is, Archons can bash pretty well as the Good battlemage with their Blade. The Neutral Wizard has insane bashing power through the (expensive) Arcane Siphon tree. Now the Corruptor's wings do a measly 13 unholy at low accuracy because their supplemental damage from Tainted Bond does not affect wards. Their other option, spells, can do at best 18 with the full spell accuracy tree and force focus, when it should normally do 21 with the spell damage bonuses Corruptors get but those seem to not be factored against wards.
This puts the Evil battlemage class in a position where their utility/ability to sub in/help for ward bashing is quite lower than that of their Good and Neutral counterparts, also seriously hindering their ability to help recap (meanwhile both other classes regularly solo recap).

Is there any perspective of this being improved/"fixed" or do we just need to get used to it for B3.5? I know there are lots of other issues and some bugs are hard to fix due to limitations in access to the code, I just want to know what to expect.

Thank you.

This is the reason why I skipped Tainted Bond on my Corruptor...

Also:

Quote:
- You attack the ward with your Nirvanyos the Arcanes Gaiawrath, dealing 21 points of impact damage. The impact is absorbed with a resounding thud and the ward seems to ripple a bit. (2016-01-19 10:32:05).

So we're getting different outcome there.

Quite interesting results, possibly then only the autohit is affected. I will run some tests to confirm or infirm that hypothesis later.

EDIT: seems correct indeed

- You write Apologies, gentledemon Sparky here was bashing your ward to... test something. As a neighbour though I bear no ill intention! in chalk. As you do so, the chalk crumbles in your hand. It has been removed from your inventory! (2016-01-20 08:41:13).

If that other "bug" is still around maybe I should ask to ditch my Tainted Bond tree and pick up spell accuracy * Taint Spell. >,<

Corruptors might not be the best bashers, but 18 damage vs. good/neutral wards is still pretty decent and I find that melee Corruptors can still bring an insane amount of utility to raids (huge damage vs. players, a ball of ghouls if your Lich can't make it, instant shutdown of active defenders with a poisoned autohit spell and Hex of Nullity). Besides, all demon combat classes have access to the ward-melting Destructive Blow skill, so most evil factions are not going to be bereft of bashing power.
