Hello all!

Like most (still) here, I find Nexus Clash to be a perfect niche game.
But, I think word of mouth has somewhat failed to pull in new players over the years.

I tried posting on Reddit but cannot seem to be able to make a decent pitch.

I thought about donating to have the game put up linked on Steam as they have text-based games anyway, which I think would make a huge impact on player base. Not sure that would be possible for a browser based text game.

Anyone have ideas? I'm going to keep trying on Reddit as I can. I would quite enjoy a boost in activity!

For Steam the game would probably need to be wrapped in an installable executable, instead of being "just" a website.

On the other hand, writing a tiny "application" that is just a browser in disguise and loads a predefined URL on start may be not that hard. But I am not sure how Steam moderation team would react to such an "application", so it may not be worth the risk of potential ban.

That was definitely a good point, searched through Steam's store and located a couple of similar games. So far they are all a bit more on the visual side of things, but I think Nexus Clash qualifies. 'Browser based'

Here is one for comparison: https://store.steampowered.com/app/830440/Agents_of_Aggro_City_Online_Browser_MMO/

It appears to be non-flash, heavy on visuals but also similar in UI to Nexus Clash IMO

This one is mostly text based with minor visual interface, and Steam has quite a few text based games. https://store.steampowered.com/app/688930/City_of_Ages_Picture_Supportive_Text_MUD_server_and_client_included/

So... maybe IT CAN BE DONE **Hype**
