Items in inventory pane are grouped by their names, so that only the most recently obtained one is visible and the rest is hidden "below".
Similarly, entries in message log are also grouped by their exact text, and only the date of the newest duplicate is being displayed.
In some rare cases it would be useful to have access to those hidden items and log entries, so it would be nice if players had some way to opt-out of this stacking mechanics and see "raw" message log and inventory content.
